Based on previously entered student information, the notification is able to determine which students are residents of the threatened dormitory and send evacuation information to the appropriate group of people. The notification also contacts police and emergency response, as well as organize all available campus security to set up a perimeter and commence an evacuation room check. In the final step of the notification, press is contacted and all those within the vicinity are warned to stay away from the area.

X Mark IconSCENARIO: An Advanced Calculus teacher calls in sick one hour prior to the start of class. A substitute must be found as quickly as possible.

Check Mark IconSOLUTION: The administrator who receives the call creates a call-out notification requesting a substitute who is qualified to teach Advanced Calculus. The notification is sent to all substitutes in the school's database, and will continue to contact every individual until either he/she responds or someone else accept the job. Once an assignment has been accepted, the notification is terminated and the volunteer is connected to the appropriate administrator, allowing them to discuss the curriculum and further specifications of the job.

X Mark IconSCENARIO: Campus security receives a call about a suspicious looking male seen hanging around the parking lot of a women's dormitory.

Check Mark IconSOLUTION: A notification is sent to all campus security and includes a description of the male in question. Using pre-set scheduling features, the notification automatically determines which security officers are assigned to the area in question and requests their immediate presence at the women's dormitory. All other security officers are placed on high alert. The notification is then sent to residents of the affected dormitory and advises those students to stay in their rooms and lock their doors, or at least travel in pairs until the situation is fully investigated. Once the matter is resolved, the initiator launches a final notification giving the all clear to both the students as well as campus security.
